STR 2026 Payment Rates
STR (Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah) is paid per household. The amount depends on income and number of children. From 2026, single individuals no longer receive STR cash — instead they receive SARA of RM50/month.

Key 2026 Aid Schemes — At a Glance
STR & SARA (Sumbangan Tunai & Asas Rahmah)
STR is cash aid for low-income households and seniors, while SARA is a monthly essentials credit (RM100/month for all STR recipients). STR 2026 applications opened on 13 October 2025. Check and apply at bantuantunai.hasil.gov.my.
EPF i-Saraan
For the self-employed or those without fixed contributions. The government matches 20% of your voluntary EPF contribution, up to RM500/year (RM5,000 lifetime cap), for members under 60. Register through your EPF account.
BUDI MADANI (diesel)
Cash assistance for eligible private diesel vehicle owners, raised to RM300/month in 2026. Check eligibility at budimadani.gov.my.
Bantuan Awal Persekolahan (BAP)
RM150 per student (one-off) for back-to-school costs, paid automatically to eligible pupils.
PEKA B40
Free health screening and aid for B40 individuals aged 40 and above — not cash, but valuable.
