Notes on this EPF projection

  • Contributions: employee 11% + employer 13% (salary ≤ RM5,000) or 12% (salary > RM5,000).
  • Dividends compound yearly. EPF has paid 5.5%–6.15% in recent years — future returns aren't guaranteed.
  • EPF's Basic Savings target is now RM290,000 at age 55 (2026), rising to RM390,000 at age 60 by 2028. EPF revises it periodically.
  • The projection assumes uninterrupted contributions and no withdrawals. An estimate for planning only.
